For those who require more storage, Snapchat offers various plans. The basic plan provides 100GB for $1.99 monthly. Snapchat+ subscribers, paying $3.99 per month, receive an increased limit of 250GB. The Platinum plan, costing $15.99 monthly, offers a substantial 5TB of storage for those who never delete their Snaps.

Storage Plans and User Impact

Snapchat believes most users won't be affected by the new limit as they typically don't exceed the 5GB threshold. However, power users who use Snapchat as a photo archive may find this change significant. To ease the transition, Snap is offering a one-year grace period of temporary storage for those already over the limit.
