X Is Testing a New Feature to Show What Posts People Like Most
Elon Musk's social media platform, X, is exploring a new feature that leverages Community Notes to identify popular posts. This initiative aims to enhance user engagement by spotlighting content that resonates with a wide audience. The feature is currently in the testing phase, with plans to refine it based on user feedback and data analysis.
X To Use Community Notes to Find Most-Liked Post
On Thursday, the Community Notes X account announced the launch of a pilot test. The company says that a subset of Community Notes contributors will see a new callout in the product. The callout shows based on early and limited Like signals on the post.

Contributors will then be able to rate and provide more feedback about the post. This helps to develop an open-source algorithm that could effectively identify posts liked by people from different perspectives.
If the post receives enough positive ratings, the callout will update to indicate that the post appears to be appreciated by a wide range of users. Contributors whose feedback helps a note achieve this recognition will receive a notification.
A dedicated Got Likes section on the Community Notes site will also showcase posts with these callouts. The company is initially pilot testing with a small set of US Community Notes contributors. It's expected to expand over time.
The integration of Community Notes into post popularity metrics represents an innovative step in social media engagement strategies. As X continues to develop this feature, it remains committed to enhancing the quality of interactions on its platform through thoughtful innovation and community involvement.
