21.5 Inch iMac and Mac Mini Land in India at Rs 85,900 & RS 39,990

    Apple has released its 21.5 inch iMac and Mac Mini in the Indian stores with the official Indian website of Apple quoting the price of Mac Mini and tagging the 21.5 inch iMac to be ‘coming soon'. Both these computers were unveiled in October 23, along with the popular iPad mini.

    Apple had paid a revisit to all the company's iMac AIOs (all-in-ones) belonging to the seventh generation and gave the 21.5 inch iMac a complete make-over. The thickness of the iMac was considerably reduced by 80 percent as compared to the other existing models. The volume of the iMacs is also reduced by about 40 percent on account of their glass and aluminium casing.

    The monitor is 5 mm thick at the edges due to the absence of optical drive and reflection is also reduced by almost 75 percent with no compromises on contrast and color. 128 GB capacity flash drive memory and a FusionDrive with capacity from 1 to 3 TB are available as internal memory.

    The desktop computers run on Core i5 or Core i7 quad processors. Apart from Nvidia Kepler graphics, these AIOs also have dual microphones and dual speakers, three Thunderbolt parts, 32 GB RAM, FaceTime HD camera of 720p and 4 USB 3.0 ports.

    Apple updated Mac mini also, and it comes with dual core processors, Core i5 and Core i7. It has twice the speed of the previous version and the integrated graphics are faster by 65 percent. It has 4GB memory scalable to 16 GB, 4 USB 3.0 ports, Thunderbolt parts, Gigabit Ethernet, ports for FireWire 800, HDMI and SDXC.

    The price of Mac mini, which has three versions, will start from Rs 39,900.
