Despite the falling sales figures of tablet devices globally, Acer has launched its latest Iconia A1-830 tablet in India via third party online retailer Flipkart at Rs. 11,299 exclusively.

What comes as an incredible news is that Flipkart is also offering several freebies with the device including 68% off on a 1-year subscription of any digital magazine from the India Today Group, free eBooks worth Rs. 1500, Sennheiser HD 180 Headphones and a chance to win Rs. 5,000 as cashback.

Acer Iconia A1-830: Key Specifications

Acer Iconia A1-830 tablet sports a 7.9-inch (1024 x 768 pixels) LED-backlit IPS display and is powered by a 1.6 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor with Hyper-Threading technology and PowerVR SGX544 GPU. It is supported by 1GB LPDDR2 RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS. Imaging aspect of the handset is looked after by 5MP rear camera with 1080p video recording and a 2MP front-facing camera with 720p video recording. Other specs include: 16GB of storage and expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, and GPS. The latest tablet from Acer measures 8.15mm thick and weighs 380 grams and is powered by a 4000 mAh battery.

Earlier this week, Acer also launched Iconia A1-713 tablet with 3G voice calling facility in India at Rs 12,999. This one comes with a smaller 7-inch display with 1,024 x 600-pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core processor (MediaTek chipset) and 1GB of RAM. Other specs include: 16GB of on-board storage, microSD card slot, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean (upgradable to Android 4.4 Kitkat), 2-megapixel rear-camera, VGA quality front-facing shooter, 3G with voice calling, Wi-Fi Bluetooth v 4.0 and 3,400mAh battery.


Both these devices are quite different in a lot of level. The latest one only features a larger display, better camera and higher battery capacity. In the processor front, the 7-inch model comes with better power. Thus, you might want to check out both these devices before you buy one.
