Looks like Acer is overdosed on complaints regarding the display of their very own and recently launched Iconia W3. Being the world's first 8.1 inch Windows 8 Pro tablet it now has a reputation to maintain and thus it is recently reported to come up soon with the upgraded display quality in the new tablet. However, there is a vague information regarding whether it will come with the same Iconia W3 name or not.

Moreover, talking about the display of the current Iconia W3, it measures 8.1 inch TN-LCD display and offers the resolution of 1280 x 800 featuring a pixel density of 186ppi. Now online reports suggest that Acer is replacing the same screen with the IPS display. It is also said that the updated variant of the tablet will be thinner and lighter than the current W3.

Speculations points the updated slate to hit the market by September. There are possibilities of the increase in the price of the tablet as well.

Acer may have had a bad review on their W3 tablet but one more Acer tablet has appeared in the GFXBench and shows the name 'Acer TA2'.

However, this mysterious tablet according to the benchmark test comes with an Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS with the resolution of 2560x1344. The tablet will be powered by a NVIDIA Tegra 4 quad-core processor clocked to 1.8GHz. There is no other information regarding this tablet as well.
