Acer has rolled out its latest Acer Chromebase desktop that is based on Google's Chrome operating system. It is the industry's first all-in-one Chrome OS desktop with a touchscreen.

Acer Just Launched A New Chromebase AIO PC With 21.5-Inch Touchscreen

The Acer Chromebase features a 21.5-inch 1080p full HD display and as the device is VESA-compliant, it offers a flexible 178-degree viewing angle.

It incorporates 10-point touch technology and is powered by the NVIDIA Tegra K1 quad-core processor that keeps the device quiet even when running heavy workloads.

The desktop has an in-built HD camera and further offers two 3W audio speakers, HDMI output, USB, along with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity option. Acer says that the device boots up in 10 seconds and has multi-layer security in-built with automatic system updates.

There is no word as of now on the built-in storage but, acer has mentioned a complimentary of 100GB of Google Drive storage for the first two years, in its press release.

The company also claims that the device boots up in just ten seconds and has multiple layers of security as well as support for multiple users to offer a decent computing experience.

Acer Chromebook 13 rivals the Chromebook Pixel. With the Tegra mobile processor it lasts 11 hours on a charge. That runtime can stretch to 13 hours with attention to power management.
