Acer Ties Up With Bajaj Finserv To Offer Laptops And Netbooks Easy EMI Schemes
Acer has tied up with Bajaj Finserv for offering easy EMIs on it's Laptops and netbooks until July 31, 2013. According the the scheme, consumers can make their payments through easy EMIs, within seven months of their purchase at 0% interest. There will be no requirement for a credit card and customers will only have to pay a processing fee.
The company says, this is a step taken to make computing experience more accessible to the masses, especially for the upwardly mobile youth. Acer also adds that it aims to facilitate first-time buyers' with access to its new range of products, with the new scheme.
"Deepening PC penetration is critical to bridge the digital divide in India. Acer is committed to providing an unparalleled combination of innovation at an attractive price point to its consumers. Our latest offer aims at bringing the best of both worlds to a consumer", says S. Rajendran, Chief Marketing Officer at Acer India.
Devang Mody, President Consumer Finance, Bajaj Finserv Lending comments, "Our partnership with Acer is the proof of our commitment to continuously strengthen our role in our consumer's life, beyond just being another financier. At Bajaj Finserv Lending, our technology platforms allow us to approve loans in as low as 3 minutes while the customer is in the shop, selecting his favorite Acer notebook. For the customer, this life-event should be about buying his aspirational device without having to worry about the money he may need."
Acer is aggressively campaigning to promote it's new EMI scheme. The company looks to increase visibility among consumers, with the launch of its new TVC along with print advertisements and regular BTL activities.
The Taiwanese giant has also introduced a Buy Back option, where in customer can exchange his used desktop or laptop for a price agreed by the retail store. Acer is also offering extended warranty of an additional 2 years, worth Rs. 3500, free of cost, on select models.
