Alcatel One Touch Hero 8 Tablet Announced: Features FHD Display, 8 Core CPU and More
Along with the OneTouch Hero 2 smartphone, TCL Communication has also announced its latest tablet - the Alcatel One Touch Hero 8 that comes with a pretty decent build quality and specifications.

The new tablet would go on sale this September 2014 in select markets. However, Alcatel has not announced the pricing of the new device as yet.

Thus far, this could be the one among the few tablets with octa core chipsets and if speculations are to be made, you can expect the device in a comparatively affordable price. Check out the specs of tablet below:
Alcatel One Touch Hero 8: Key Specifications
The Alcatel One Touch Hero 8 sports an 8-inch display offering a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. It is powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT8392 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4 (Kitkat) OS.

The latest tablet comes with three storage variants viz. 16GB / 32GB / 64GB internal memory. It also comes with a MicroSD card slot. It also sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP frontal snapper.
The company has offered a wide range of connectivity options in the tablet, which includes 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC (Optional).
The device which measures 209 x 122 x 7.3mm is fueled by a 4060mAh battery. The Hero 8 tablet features an aluminum body which gives it a premium looks.
It has SIM card slot with 4G support and also supports voice calling via headset. It also supports MagicFlip LED and Sidekick 2 companion device, similar to the One Touch Hero 2 phablet.
What is even better in the tablet is that it comes with a Miracast-certification. This means that the users can transmit video or audio files from the tablet directly to a TV or monitor without wires or a router. The TV Mate feature turns the tablet into the universal remote control for televisions. The tablet can also connect via Bluetooth with a smartphone and handle voice-call duties.
The company has not yet spoken about the devices's availability in the Indian market as of now.
