Apple iPad 5 delayed: Production to Start Off in July/August 2013
Apple iPad 5 was set to be announced later this month in order to get better positioned. A lot has been said and told about upcoming iPad 5. Last week, it was speculated that Apple could hold a press meet to show off next-generation iPad 5. Generally, Apple holds iPad related media event in the month of September or October. Last year, Apple announced iPad 4 and iPad Mini in the month of October.
Taiwan based DigiTimes has claimed that supply chain sources plans to manufacture iPad 5 in July-August frame. That means, the next-generation iPads will likely to be announced in the month of September or October, as per Apple tradition. The same sourced communicated that the iPad 5 will be thinner and lighter than compared to iPad 4. From styling to thin nature of iPad 5; it will be similar to the current generation iPad Mini. The touch panels used in manufacturing iPad would be supplied by LG and Sharp, as per new reports.

Apple has been an unquestionable force in the tablet market. The Cupertino-based now makes two different models of iPads. A regular 9.7-inch iPad saw significant decline due the coming of the iPad Mini. The iPad Mini has a screen size measuring 7.9-inches with resolution of 1024 X 768 pixels, A5X processor, and price tag of just Rs.21, 990. Whereas, a 9.7-inch iPad 4 has Retina Display with resolution of 2,048 X 1,536 pixels, A6X processor, a 5-mega pixel rear camera, and price tag of Rs. 31,900.
While Apple's nearest competitor in the tablet space - Google, could announce improved Nexus tablet lineup. The next-gen Nexus 7 is said to be more powerful with Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 1080p supported Full HD resolution, 2GB of RAM, thinner design, and rear camera for augmented reality. Google also makes 10-inch tablets under Nexus lineup; so expect all -new Nexus 10 with better processing power, and enhanced ergonomic design.
