Asus 10-inch Transformer Book T100 Convertible Laptop Launched For Rs. 34,099


Along with its Fonepad 7 calling tablet, Asus has also launched a convertible laptop cum tablet -Transformer Book T100, for Indian markets. The device is priced at Rs 34,099 and will be available at retail outlets starting November 2013. Asus took the drapes off the device at the Intel Developer Forum 2013, in San Francisco.

Talking about its specifications, the Asus Transformer Book T100 comes with a 10.1-inch HD (1366x768) IPS multi-touch display. A key feature of the device is that its screen can be detached from the keyboard and used as a tablet. But once you've attached the keyboard back to the display, the device is once again a laptop.

The device uses a 1.33GHz Intel Atom Bay Trail-T Z3740 quad-core processor and Intel HD graphics, along with 2GB of RAM.

When it comes to storage, the device houses a 32GB built-in eMMC storage expandable via microSD card. Apart form this, Asus will also be giving users free WebStorage. On the connectivity front, the device offers USB 3.0, Micro-HDMI, and Wi-Fi. There is a 1.2 MP camera in the front for imaging.

Asus claims that the device can offer up to 11 hours of battery life on a single charge.
