7 Devices Asus Will Release in India by May End 2013

ASUS yesterday announced the launch of the various new line of their products which the company said would be available within the month of May while few are already available in the market. The devices includes ASUS Fonepad, ASUS Nexus 7, ASUS TAICHI, ASUS Vivobook F202E, ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TG,ASUS S56 and ASUS ME172V MeMO Pad.

 

The best news is that they have recently inaugurated the brand new ASUS Store for the people of Bangalore in Indranagar. The store is said to house all the legacy and premier devices of ASUS.

Here are the features and configurations of the newly announced devices.

ASUS Fonepad

ASUS Fonepad is the 7 inch tablet that is fairly priced at RS. 15,999. The display features WXGA 1280x800 HD resolution, LED Backlight IPS Panel with 10 finger multitouch. The device is powered by the Intel Atom Processor Z2420 clocked to 1.2 GHz and is backed up by 1GB LPDDR2 RAM. The deviice has the storage capacity of 8GB that is expandable up to 32 via External microSD. The Fonepad features 3MP rear camera with autofocus and 720pixels vHD video recording and 1.2 MP front facing camera for easy video call. The device runs on Android OS, v4.1 (Jelly Bean) platform.The tablet offers 3G with HSPA+ mobile data connectivity and WiFi.

The ASUS Fonepad not only comes with the per loaded apps like floating app, superNote lite, WebStorage Office Online but also comes with the 5GB of free lifetime ASUS WebStorage for syncing and sharing data with other devices.

ASUS India also offers optional accessories for the Fonepad called VersaSleeve 7 which is a wraparound cover with a folding design and helps to prop up the tablet for better typing and vewing angle. The Fonepad comes with the full 1 year warranty.

ASUS Nexus 7

ASUS Nexus 7 is another ASUS 7 inch tablet with 1280*800 HD Display that is powered by NVDIA Tegra 3 Quad Core Processor With 12 Core GPU and is backed up by 1GB DDR3L RAM. The tablet comes in two variants, 3G version and WiFI version and are priced Rs. 21,999 and Rs. 18,999 respectively. The device runs on the Android 4.2 JellyBean platform and houses 32GB of internal storage capacity but lacks in microSD slot. The Nexus 7 has 1.2MP front facing camera and lacks on rear camera.

ASUS TAICHI

With the lid open, this latest Asus Taichi 31 looks like a normal Windows 8 ultrabook with a 13.3 inch HD screen. It has an Intel Core i7 processor backed by 4GB DDR3 RAM, and a 256GB SATA solid state disk.

The screen that faces the keyboard is a 1920 x 1080 pixel display. Sometimes a display is just a display. There's no touch panel on this one.

But if you close the lid you'll find another 13.3 inch full HD screen. And this one is a touchscreen. So with the lid closed, you can effectively use the Taichi 31 as a Windows 8 tablet.

You can also use both screens at the same time. For example you can open the lid so the touchscreen is pointing at someone sitting across the table from you. They can watch a video while you compose an email message. Or you can play a game together.

The ASUS Taichi 31 is pretty light for a notebook, but to be considered as a tablet it is way too heavy. This cool Hybrid Device is priced at Rs. 139,999 in the Indian market.

ASUS Vivibook F202E

The ASUS VivoBook F202E is a stylish notebook that is very light and compact which comes with the Core i3 CPU and 4 GB DDR3 RAM that ensures swift operations. With 11.6 inch LED backlight HD screen and capacitive touch panel with multitouch functions, it runs on the genuine Microsoft Windows 8 operating system. The speakers sound loud and clear and the laptop can easily crunch 1080p movies, although the screen supports 720p native display. The screen is quite responsive to touch inputs. However, considering that it is priced rather well at Rs 39,999 and that it comes bundled with Windows 8 Pro, this laptop can be termed as a good buy. It is also one of the most affordable Windows 8 laptops with a touchscreen that is priced to Rs. 39,999.

ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TG

ASUS Transformer Pad comes in the stylish colours with the concenric patterned finish that features colors like Royal Blue, Iceberg White and Torch Red. The device is powereed by NVIDIA Tegra 3 Quad-core processor and is backed by 1GB DDR3 RAM. The Transformer Pad features the 10 inch IPS display that givees the screen resolution of 1280x800 pixels. It runs on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich version and has the storage capacity of 32 GB. The Transformer Pad can change into a notebook with a full QWERTY chicklet keyboard mobile dock and has up 14 hours of battery life. One can experience an incredible audio on the Transformer Pad as it is loaded with the most advanced CMOS sensor which is ASUS sonyMAster Technology.

The device comes with the price of Rs. 43,999.

ASUS S56

ASUS S series offers a range of Ultrabooks positioned for the mainstream computing. Weighing only 2.4 Kgs the ASUS S56 comes with the SonicMaster lite Technology for powerful sound and has a 15.6 inch HD LED Backlight Glare display with HD 0.92 megapixel, 1280x720 resolution camera. It comes with the Hybrid storage which comprises 24 GB SSD storage and 500/750 GB HHD. It runs on the Genuine Windows 7 Home Basic OS. With ASUS Super Hybrid Engine @ Technology the S series can stay on standby mode for 13 days.

The S Series have two versions wih the difference of HDD a Processor. The One with Intel Core i3 processor is priced at Rs. 46,999 and the other with core i5 is available at Rs. 52,999.

ASUS ME172V MeMO Pad

The 7 inch ASUS Memo Pad is decently priced ranging from Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000. The Tablet which is available in three colors- Sugar White, Titanium Gray, Cherry Pink has an elegant finish with non-slip diamond pattern on its back.

ASUS ME172V MeMO Pad runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Platform which has resolution of 1024x600pixels resolution and comes with 10 finger multitouch feature. The device houses internal storage capacity of 8GB and is expandable up to 32 GB via external microSD slot. It has VIA WM 8950 processorclocket to 1GHz backed by 1 GB RAM. It only has a front facing camera with 1 MP.

Along with the tablet ASUS offers functional apps like ASUS WebStorage with 5 Gbonline lifetime space and ASUS WebStorage Office to empower users to view, create, edit and share Microsoft Office documents.

This tablet is priced to Rs. 9,999.
