Asus ME302C: New Intel Atom CPU Powered Tablet Spotted in the Wild


Asus partnered with Intel to bring the 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor powered FonePad tablet. Now there are reports that the Taiwanese company will be collaborating with Intel once again to bring a new tablets called Asus ME302C.

According to GFXBench post, Asus ME302C is going to be a budget tablet packing high-end specifications, including a full HD 1920 x 1128 10 inch display, 1.6GHz Atom processor and PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU. The tablet is expected to be flavored with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. There is no further information on the other specifications of the tablet.

Believed to be a part of the EeePad series, this could very well be a new Transformer model. The model is also speculated to come with a physical keyboard dock for fast typing and extended battery life. This is only a matter of an initial leak and therefore there is no information on pricing and launch date of the tablet.
