If you are not aware, the Computex 2014 trade show is just at the threshold and will be starting from tomorrow and end on 4th this month. But ahead of the festival that is going to take place in Taipei, tech firms like Asus and Acer have already started unveiling their devices.
Another company, which has also unveiled its device ahead of the much awaited trade show is Gigabyte. The Taiwan-based mother-board maker has, in fact announced its latest product the Aorus X3 laptop.
One of the major highlights of the Gigabyte Aorus X3 laptop is that it churns out the 3K pixel on its display, which means that the 13.9-inch laptop will come with a stunning resolution of 3200×1800 pixels.
Gigabyte will be actually releasing two models of the Aorus laptop, one will be the X3 and the other one will be called the X3 Plus. The X3 Plus model is a little thinner by just 0.9 inches totaling 22.9 mm and is rather heavy at 1.86 kgs. The only difference between the two are the resolutions. The Aorus X3 Plus comes with a resolution of 3200×1800 resolution and X3 comes with a 2560x1440 pixels.
These laptops include Intel fourth generation Core i7 CPU, Nvidia GeForce GTX 870M GPU, 1TB SSD, 16GB of RAM, the ability to display 4K content via MiniDisplay port and much more. The laptop will run on Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.1 Pro OS.
The Gigabyte Aorus X3 laptop comes with a glass surface mouse pad. Moreover, the keyboard keys can be lit up as well. Apart from that, on the left side of the keyboard users will get to see five keys for fully configurable functions/actions for when playing a game, the X3 plus has a premium feel. It is to be noted that these devices can make a pretty good gaming laptop.
The only negative aspect of the high resolution of the laptop is that the gamers will only get around 3 to 4 hours of battery life-time.
When it comes to the Gigabyte Aorus X3 laptop price the normal X3 model will cost $2,099 (approx. Rs. 1,24,176) with a 2560×1440 pixel display, the X3 Plus model with 3200×1800 resolution will be priced at $2,199 (approx. Rs. 1,30,092). Both will be released in the U.S from Q3 2014.
