There might be plenty of rumors around the coming of Google Nexus 10 2 on Christmas, but the reality is device is not coming any time soon. Originally, Google was supposed to announce the all new Nexus 10 alongside LG Nexus 5. Then, reports surfaced claiming that Google could officially announce the Nexus 10 2 on Cyber Monday but that didn't happen. In between, multiple-reports had projected that LG would be making this year's Nexus 10.

Now December 25 is around the corner, and Google hasn't announced the Nexus 10 2 yet. Should we assume that the Nexus 10 2 is not going to be launched in 2013? Or Google may come up with the device on the eve of Christmas. By now consumers have already decided their latest purchase; so does it make sense if Google announces its flagship tablet on December 25.

Google Nexus 10 2 Release Date Delayed To 2014

The latest blog post from Las Vega Guardian Express expressed that Google will unlikely to announce the long rumored 10-inch tablet later this year.

"With Christmas just around the corner, it is unlikely that it will be released beforehand. It is more likely that the Google Nexus 10 2 tablet's release will be pushed to 2014, if it even happens. There are even rumors spreading that there will simply not be a second generation of the tablet, and the company may be working on a Nexus 8." said the report.

Meanwhile, a German user has apparently found screen protectors made for the soon to be announced Nexus 10 2013 on Amazon.de. The said screen protectors is said to be made available on December 30. Therefore, the actual unit i.e. Nexus 10 could be made available around the same time.

In India, Google had already announced that the Nexus 10 2012 edition would be made available in some point time. The device was already listed on Google Play Store at Rs. 29,999. Shockingly, the listed page was removed from Google Play Store.

The original Nexus 10 was a big failure in the US market and around the world. While Google's attempt to dominate the 7-inch tablet market with Asus Nexus 7 has been a success. Nothing can be said at this moment whether Google would come with the second generation Nexus 10 in the coming days or not. Stay tuned to GizBot!
