Google Nexus 7 With Android 4.3 to Come at Google I/O With Full HD Display

Reports of an upcoming second generation Nexus 7 has been running for quite a while now. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has now predicted that Google will unveil successor to the highest selling Android-tablet at this year's Google I/O event.

He notes that device might come with Qualcomm's Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, which matchs the previous rumors that surfaced, about the tablet.

 

As for the display Kuo predicts that the device will come sporting a 7-inch LTPS panel carrying a a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution, a 5 megapixel rear camera, a VGA front camera with HD and 4,000 mAh battery.

Kuo predicts that the tablet will support Wireless charging and come with connectivity features including NFC and Wi-Fi.

There were rumors that the improved Nexus 7 will run on Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. However Kuo believes that the tablet will run on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The device is believed to come with a plastic body and a narrow bezel, smiler to that of the iPad Mini.

Kou also believes that the tablet will be priced at $199 and predicts that Google will loose $5 to $10 per unit sold as the result of the aggressive pricing. Profits likely to come from media purchases and ad revenue, he adds.

Kuo who is a renowned for predictor, also says that Google will launch an Android Book laptop, Google Over The Top (OTT) TV box and a smartwatch. However these products are not expected to make to the Google I/O event.
