Google Nexus 8.9 Tablet Could Arrive Later This Year [Report]
Google has been rumored to announce its Nexus 8 tablet at this year's Google I/0 developer conference.
Anonymous sources from supply chains in Asia are saying that the Google may be planning to release a large screen tablet to take on the recently launched Apple iPad Mini Retina. Now there is also inquisitiveness among tech lovers on this mysterious tablet.
So, according to a new report, Google could announce an even bigger screen tablet later this year.
IHS Technology has apparently told CNET that the next-generation Nexus tablet device will be a high-performance device. It may come with an 8.9-inch display, just like the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.

Further, the reporter says, that the production for this tablet is expected to start in July or August time frame. Moreover, the purported Nexus 8.9 would carry a premium price tag. Well, it could cost above $299 (about Rs.18,300). At the same time, it is widely believed that HTC may be the lead manufacturer to produce the forthcoming Nexus 8.9 tablet device.
It's worth nothing that Google isn't done with the 7-inch tablet form factor just yet. The same report mentions that Goggle might bring a brand new 7-inch Nexus tablet sometime later this year. As of now there now there are no concrete details available to prove whether such product exists or not.
Just a week back, DigiTimes had claimed that Google might be preparing to launch an 8.9-inch tablet. Chances are that these rumors won't die quickly, as multiple sources in the past also revealed that Google might be testing a large screen tablet.
The question that still matters is what will stop Google from making a second-generation 10-inch tablet.
