Google Nexus 8 Along with Android 4.5 Coming This July [Report]
The Mountain View headquartered top tier software giant Google must already be making plans for its Google I/O annual event which is slated to begin on 25 June, this year. While on the other hand, the company's tablet device for this year has already started making rounds in the rumor streets. There are several opinions regarding this year's Google Nexus tablet.
Now the latest information, according to the hearsay around the tablet is that Google will announce this year's tablet device sometime within July. On the contrary the earlier rumors had it that the device would be launched at the I/O event in June itself.
The latest news comes from Android Geeks who got in touch with one of the company's Dublin employees to check if the next version of Android would be revealed at the event or not. Apparently it seems that its not going to happen, since Google wants the spotlight to be on its services, which are very important to its continued growth.
But Android Geeks's source also made a mention of the Android 4.5 while disclosing the 8 inch Nexus tablet's announcement date. The source reportedly said that alongside the Nexus 8 tablet, Android 4.5 will also be unveiled in July. Thus this year we might be looking at the 8 inch Google Nexus tablet.
The name of the version is not yet disclosed. But since all the Android version's name's starting letter fall in sequence like the G in Gingerbread, H in Honeycomb, I in Ice Cream Sandwich, J in Jelly Bean and K in KitKat, speculations based on this reasoning does allow us to say Ladoo or Lassi could be the new iteration this time.
No information pertaining to the hardware supplier has been disclosed so far, it could be Asus, LG, Samsung or event HTC.
