Intex iBuddy Connect: Dual SIM 3G Tablet Launched at Rs 9,990 to Rival Asus FonePad in India
Intex has launched it's new 7 inch tablet iBuddy Connect 3G for Rs. 9,990. The tablet which is aimed towards students comes preloaded with Educlass app offers NCERT text books on various subjects, for classes 1st to 12. Also The tablet comes pre-loaded with apps such as Nimbuzz, Skype, Facebook, and Yahoo Messenger.
iBuddy Connect 3G which runs on Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich comes with a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display, 1GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, expandable memory up to 32GB, 3-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, connectivity features including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, Dual-SIM support and 3500 mAh lithium Ion battery. The tablet is available in black and brown color variants.
Commenting on the launch, Sanjay Kumar Kalirona, General Manager- Mobile Business, Intex Technologies said, "Further to our promise of continually bringing innovation to our customers at an affordable price, this is our latest offering for the urban and semi-urban youth. Aesthetically designed, i-Buddy Connect 3G aims to provide entertainment and education to our customers, considering a huge portion of them are high users of internet. India's booming digital economy is poised to reach 350-450 million by 2015-16 and we at Intex are encouraging the growth trend by creating such products that would empower the youth to have the latest technology a click away."
Intex new Dual-Sim iBuddy Connect 3G tablet is going to give a stiff rivalry to recently launched Asus FonePad at Rs 15,999. The former tablet has all the specs to counter the likes of the latter, which includes Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and features a 7 inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor, 3MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, 1GB RAM, 8GB/16GB internal storage, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 4,270 mAh battery.
However, when compared Asus FonePad is worthy its price tag considering the touch user interface and the 1.2GHz Intel Atom Z2420 processor inside.
