iPad 5 Rumored To Be Announced Later This Month

Google Nexus not only succeeded in making its place as the top selling Android tablet, but it also heavily marked the coming of Android in the tablet market scene. In 2011, Apple used to have more than 75 per cent market share in the global tablet market. In 2012, Apple's market share went further low with just 53.8 per cent.

Analysts further estimate that this year Apple will dip below 50 per cent. On the other hand Android has improved considerably on the cost of Apple. So, it is fair to say that Tim Cook managed firm will surely announce updated 9.7-inch iPad to take limelight from Nexus family of tablets.

As per some reputed bloggers (via Branch), Apple is slated to announce iPad 5 this month. Sources say that there will be an iPad related announcement coming this month. It is to be seen whether Apple is ready to take bigger screen iPad to the next-level or iPad Mini gets Retina Display treatment in the same event. Generally, Apple hosts iPad event in September of each year. This coming June will see Apple in full bloom moon with WWDC, a critical event for the perspective of iOS. Gene Munster of investment research firm Piper Jaffray told clients Apple will hold a media event to announce refreshed iPads. The so-called iPad 5 would be thin similar to current generation iPad Mini.

"We believe that looking at the history of time between Apple product launch events suggests that the company will introduce something new in March or April," as per Gene Munster of investment research firm Piper Jaffray.

Again, as speculated Apple could hold a media event to announce next -generation iPads and iPad Mini.
