Apple iPad has always been the king of the global tablet market space and has remained the champion despite of cut-throat competition. Almost every year, Apple has been following a regular release cycle for the successor models of the market sizzling tablet, and in 2012, the Cupertino-based tech giant banged the tech arena with duo product kins of the Apple iPads - iPad 4 and the iPad Mini.
Now in 2013, the iOS creator is speculated to unveil the fifth generation iPad and relatively MacRumors have come up with an alleged concept of what the iPad 5 might look like when it hits the store shelves across the globe. The folks over there have made a side-by-side comparison of the dimensions of iPad 4 and iPad mini with upcoming wild successor iPad 5.
iPad 5 - What Features to Expect?
Meanwhile, ongoing specifications have already suggested that the iPad will have smaller footprint than the current dimensions of iPad 4.
Consequently, the latest conceptualized render hints at a thinner bezel on the sides, a reduced but a thicker bezel at the top and bottom of the display.
Moving ahead, iPad 5 is said to adopt a nearly identical styling to the iPad mini, with photos showing a similarly anodized back casing and reports claiming that it will include the same chamfered edges as on its smaller sibling. The comparison photo shows the smaller size of the iPad 5 and how it has taken on the design cues of the iPad mini.
Rumors in the past have also suggested that Apple will keep the same 9.7-inch screen size in the iPad 5, and there are no indications of bumping up the resolution at this time, though report are in that Apple may switch to a Sharp IGZO display in the iPad 5.
It can also be seen that the iPad 5 would be as thin as the iPad mini, which would be a around 20% thinner as compared to iPad 4. The rendering also includes a look at the redesigned bottom of the larger iPad which keeps the lightning connector, and adopts the speaker design and slightly beveled edge of the iPad mini.
A new iPad 5 design as shown in the render is likely to be easier for carrying it around due to its distinctive size difference fro the others. Early iPad 5 rumors pointed to a release in March 2013, but recent sources point to an October iPad 5 release. A later release seems more likely given that Apple just announced a 128GB variant of iPad 4.
