Karbonn To Launch 2nd Gen Android One Smartphone in Q1 2015 [ REPORT]
After releasing Karbonn Sparkle V with Android One Platform, Banglore based handset manufacturer Karbonn is now gearing up for the second-generation Android One smartphone. As per BGR report, Mr. Shashin Devsare, Executive Director of Karbonn Mobiles said, "Karbonn Mobiles will be releasing its second-generation Android One handset in Q1 2015." He was speaking at the Dream 500 Million Smartphones event in New Delhi.
"Expect the new Android One smartphone will be launched in the first quarter of 2015. We have had an excellent response on Android One devices and we believe that Android One will mature over time. Our partnership for Android One is going to be on a long term basis" he added.
As per reports, more OEM's will be participating in this second-generation Android One project, adding to that upcoming Android One smartphones will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon processor.

Google's initiative Android One is mainly targeted at people who are buying their first smartphone in the developing world. Android One's software will run on Stock Android without any addition of user-interface.
In this project, Google will produce the design for the hardware and the OEM's has to manufacture it accordingly. Android One, which was initially rolled-out in India didn't get the positive feedback as expected.
