While, Micromax dominates the budget tablet market in the nation, its ICS tablet - Funbook 3G P600 at Rs 9,499 with similar specifications is a good seller. Hence the new Lava tab has come up with clear aims to fight back the mentioned Micromax offering.

Since everyone wants to own a budget tablet right now, the chances are high that many would be confused on which one to buy. Form Factor: While the weight of E-Tab Connect is not known, the tablet carries a dimension of 122.6 x 194 x 10 mm. At the same time, Funbook 3G P600 comes with a relatively thicker profile measuring 119.5 x 193.5 x 11.5 mm and weighing in at 370 grams.

When it comes to display, both the tablets score the same with a 7 inch multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display boasting 480 x 800 pixel resolution.

Processor: In this segment, E-Tab Connect is equipped with a 1.2GHz Qualcomm MSM7227A processor, whereas, Funbook 3G P600 is powered by a dual core 1GHz Cortex A5 processor.

Obviously, a dual core processor is better for efficient multi-tasking, however, the processor in the Lava tablet can execute instructions faster.

Operating System: Again, in terms of operating system, both E-Tab Connect and Funbook 3G P600 fare well with Android 4.0 ICS operating system.

Connectivity: Talking of internet connectivity, both E-Tab Connect and Funbook 3G P600 have Bluetooth, 3G with average download speeds, Wi-Fi and micro USB 2.0.

Battery: E-Tab Connect is powered by a 3,000 mAh battery offering 3 to 3.5 hours of Wi-Fi usage and Funbook 3G P600 is loaded with a Li-Po battery delivering 4 hours of Wi-Fi usage.

Price: Both Lava E-Tab Connect and Micromax Funbook 3G P600 are available at a price of Rs 9,499.
