After launching its latest Vibe Z Pro 2 smartphone in India, the company has now unveiled its new range of Yoga Tablet 2. It is not the all new Yoga Tablet 2 and can be called as the refined version of last year's Yoga Tablet 8 and Yoga Tablet 10.

These new tablets come with a convertible design and a new Hang mode. Moreover, the 10-inch models have Clamshell Bluetooth Keyboard Dock and optional Bluetooth AccuType keyboard cover.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (8-Inch): Key Specifications

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 comes with an 8-inch Full HD IPS display with 10-point multitouch, and it has a 178-degree wide viewing angle display.

The device can use up to 1.8 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor which will be complimented by a 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) or Windows 8.1 (with Bing for Small Tablets) options.

In terms of camera, the new Lenovo Tablet features an 8MP auto focus rear camera with f2.2 wide-aperture lens with BSI sensor and a 1.6MP HD front-facing snapper.

Internal storage seats at 16GB and is further expandable up to 64 GB via microSD card. Connectivity optsion include WiFi 802.11b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0 and USB (OTG).

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 which measures 210 mm x 149 mm x 2.7 - 7.0 mm in dimension and weighs in at 419 grams is powered by a 6400mAh battery with up to 18 hours of usage.

Moreover, what is interesting about the tablet is that it also features a dual front large-chamber speakers, Dolby audio and Wolfson Master Hi-Fi Codec.

The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 features a slightly bigger 10.1-inch (1920×1200 pixels) Full HD IPS display with 10-point multitouch and 178-degree wide viewing angle.

It can be powered by up to 1.8 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3745 processor coupled with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) or Windows 8.1 (with Bing for Tablets) options. The camera feature remains the same as the smaller variant with the inclusion of 8MP auto focus rear camera with f2.2 wide-aperture lens, BSI sensor and a 1.6MP HD front-facing snapper. It measures 255 mm x 183 mm x 3.0-7.2 mm and weighs 619 grams.

Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, and USB (OTG). The tablet offers 16GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 64 GB.

It has the similar Dual Front large-chamber Speakers, Dolby Audio and Wolfson Master Hi-Fi Codec and has a larger battery capacity of 9600mAh battery with up to 15 hours of usage. Moreover this variant features a Clamshell Bluetooth Keyboard Dock as well. It comes in Ebony color.

Talking about the price and availability, the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (8-inch) and Yoga Tablet 2 (10-inch) start at $249.99 and $299.99 respectively and will be available from October 9. The Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (10-inch) with Windows- would be priced at $399.99and will be released late October. These two devices will be released in select market at the moment.
