LG to Launch A New Android Tablet In Q3?
Tablets are the future in computing devices. There has been a systematic rise in sales of these miniature touchscreen products in past couple of years. This has marked the beginning of a new race, in which, leading tech manufactures are so desperate to compete. With this the question pops up, after Samsung, Asus and others, is LG also planning to enter the tablet race?
Apparently so, according to the Korean media, the company will be launching a new tablet in the second half of 2013.
Unfortunately there is no other details about the alleged tablet. However, there are speculations that the device will be an Android one. LG did make an attempt to enter the tablet race, back in 2011, when it announced it's first ever tablet Android 3.0 Honeycomb powered Optimus Pad, which failed make a significant dent in the market, as it was quite expensive.
LG Optimus Pad came sporting 8.9 inch display with 1280 x 768 pixel resolution, NVIDIA Tegra 2 Dual core, 1000 MHz processor, 32 GB, built in memory, 5 mp rear camera, VGA front camera, 1 GB RAM, connectivity features including Bluetooth, DLNA , WiFi, HDMI , microUSB and 6400 mAh battery. The tablet was indeed impressive for that time and age and it made it to India.
As for the new device, there no information on even the name of the device, but perhaps LG will be able to capture the tablet market this time. Gizbot will keep you posted, if more information pops up.
