Mercury mTAB 10: 10.1 Inch 3G Slate Launched Featuring Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
Today, Kobian launched its first 10 inch tablet called Mercury mTAB10 with LED HD panel and Android Jelly Bean 4.2 today. Last month the manufacturer similarly launched a device called mTAB Star. However, the new tab features dual camera, capacitive multi - touch screen and Li-ion polymer battery with just 11.6mm thickness. This new tablet is one among the few 10 inch tablets coming from domestic manufacturers.

Lets take a look at the specs of the 10-inch device:
Mercury mTAB 10 comes with 10.1 inch multi touch capacitive five point touch screen with LED high definition display panel. It offers a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. This device runs on Android 4.2 platform and is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor coupled with 1GB DDR3 RAM. The 11.6mm thick tablet houses 8GB of internal storage capacity and supports 32GB expandable memory via Micro SD card.
When it comes to connectivity, mTAB10 is incorporated with an in-built Wi-Fi, supports 2G SIM for voice calling and IEEE 802.11 b/g/n and supports 3G dongle, HDMI and multiple I/O ports of 1 mini USB.
There is a 2.0 megapixel rear camera along with a 0.3 megapixel front facing shooter. The tablet draws its power from 5200mah battery.
Other features include, Adobe Flash 11.1, built-in speaker with full HD, 360 degree Gravity Sensing, TF card slot, 3.5mm stereo port and DC Jack.
Sushmita Das, Country Manager India at Kobian Pv.t Ltd. said "mTAB10 is a gigantic entry in our advanced technology tablets. This tablet will address the growing demands of youth seeking light, stylish and comfortable device at competitive process. Mercury range of tablets ensures superior performance, power management and exciting features allowing the user with an enriched experience."
Sadly, the company has not disclosed the price and the availability of the tablet but it will come with 1 year warranty.
To talk about competition since there are already devices like Karbonn Cosmic Smart Tab10 Tablet, iBall EDU-SLIDE i1017 Tablet, iBall Performance Series Slide, Huawei MediaPad 10 Link Tablet, Mercury mTAB10 will have to face a tough competiton and since it has a good specs incorporated in it, it might make a good impression in the market.
