Micromax Canvas Tab P690 with Intel Atom Processor and Unibody Brushed Metal Launched at Rs 8,999
Desi handset manufacturer, Micromax has launched a new tablet in the Indian market under its very famous Canvas series. Dubbed as Canvas Tab P690, this tablet comes with 4th generation Intel Atom Processor along-with unibody brushed-metal finish.
Moreover, this tablet comes with 6 free Kindle E-books, 1GB of free data for 2 months for Vodafone customers, 3 months of free Saavn premium subscription, 6 months of free premium Truecaller subscription, free 1 month Hello TV subscription, Angry Birds and Angry Birds GO with free in-app freebies and MAd app that lets users watch ads, earn points and get money-added to their phone balance.
Micromax Canvas Tab P690 - Key Specifications
Micromax Canvas Tab P690, sports an 8-inch HD IPS display with-a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor beside 1GB RAM under-the hood.
Moreover, on the capacity storage, this P960 houses 8GB of internal memory, with an expansion option of up to 32GB via microSD card-slot and shipped with Android 4.4 KitKat, which is upgradeable to Lollipop 5.0.
On the imaging factor, Canvas Tab P690 features a 5MP rear-camera, 2MP front-facing camera and supports connectivity options such as 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS.
Powered by a 4000mAh battery, Micromax Canvas Tab P690 comes in brushed Metallic Grey Color at a price of Rs. 8,999. This device will be available in India from June 7 along with free flip-cover worth Rs. 1,500.
Commenting on the launch Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax Informatics, said, "Since January, we've been attaining strong growth of 30% month-on-month with our new Canvas Tab portfolio, and believe that we are set for market leadership in the key segment of Rs.6k-Rs.15k that we operate in."
He further added, "Our role as category leaders will be to grow the category itself by bringing in first-time users by demonstrating how tablets can enable a connected, portable and yet more immersive experience to our content-hungry consumers."
