On the world's biggest tech event, MWC 2015, Huawei has launched its successor of MediaPad X1. Codenamed MediaPad X2, a cellular enabled tablet, it boasts an ultra octa-core chip and a ISP chip in the camera department to enhance the image during the low light. Its has a compact borderless screen design offers a screen-to-body ratio of 80%, which makes it easy for single-handed operation.

Huawei MediaPad X2, sports a 7-inch ultra HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1200 pixels which translates into 323ppi. In this MediaPad it supports LTPS HD touch display provides incredibly crisp and dynamic visual experience while CABC technology will automatically adjust screen brightness to ensure efficient battery management. Moreover,this device is powered by a 2.0Ghz Kirin 930 ultra-octa chipset, the 64 bit eight-core CPU of A53 and 64-bit GPU Mali-T628.
Moving on to the storage, it comes in two variant such as 2GB of RAM/16GB and 3GB of RAM/32GB. On the camera department, it features a 13MP rear camera with ISP chip which improve the low-light performance of the tablets's camera sensor. It also has some features such as a post-shooting focus adjustment metering mode, focus and exposure metering, and off-screen snapping functionality. On the front snapper, it is equipped with 5 MP with an aperture of F2.4 and a wide angle of 22mm.

On the connectivity, this device supports options such as dual-SIM, LTE Cat.6, Dual-MIC reducing noise technology, etc. This device is powered by a 5000 mAh Li-Polymer battery, which supports streaming of online video for up to 12 hours, 15 hours of internet surfing or 60 hours of music playing via headphones.
Targetting the audiophiles, MediaPad comes with Smart PA audio chip and a DTS surround sound technology on board. This slate will be shipped with Android 5.0 out of the box and will be launched in China and Western Europe.
