Back in September 2013, Amazon announced the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 along with its smaller 7 inch sibling and the new Kindle Fire HD. The design of the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9 is in fact the same as the HDX 7. The device comes with a unique beveled edges and soft-touch plastic everywhere. Users can see a lot of changes and upgrades in the tablet device from Amazon since it first launch the Kindle Fire tablet back in 2011.

While the 8.9 inch tablet doesn't match up with any other tablets if compared from the size perspective but the closest one would be the latest Apple device iPad Air which comes with a 9.7 inch display. There are so many difference between these two devices which we will talk about later in the slides.

But in the meantime for those who are not aware, Apple has launched the iPad Air recently in the market and like the iPhone 5S, this latest device also comes powered by a 64 bit A7 processor.

While both the tablets have not hit the Indian boundaries yet, they are expected to land by the end of this year.
