Samsung Chromebook 2 With Faux-Leather Finish and Exynos 5 Octa Processors Announced
Just yesterday Twitter user @evleaks had leaked the images of the upcoming Chromebook 2 with faux-leather back panel from Samsung and now the South Korea-based tech giant has already announced the device in two variants viz. A 11.6 inch model and a 13.3-inch one.
Samsung has been quite efficient when it comes to polishing its latest device to attract the consumers across the world, the latest Chromebooks with faux-leather finish might do pretty well as it does stand out among the other Chromebooks that are currently selling in the market.

The 11.6-inch Samsung Chromebook 2 comes in Jet Black and Classic White color variants and is priced at $319.99 which translates to Rs. 19,864 . On the other hand, the 13.3-inch model comes in comes in Luminous Titan Gray model at the price of $399.99 (approx. Rs. 24,831). These Chromebooks would be available in the U.S. in April 2014. However, when it comes to the availability of the device in India, there is no clue so far.

Going by the specs, the Chromebook 2 11.6 comes with a 11.6 (1366 x 768 pixels) HD screen. It is powered by 1.9 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 Octa processor coupled with 4GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM. Connectivity options include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 1 x USB 3.0 Port, 1 x USB 2.0 port , Bluetooth and HDMI port while you can also find a front-facing 720p webcam in the device. The 16.7 mm thick device weighs about 1.1kg and houses a 16GB Solid State Drive along with a MicroSD Card Reader. There is a battery which can last for about 8 hours.
On the other hand, Samsung Chromebook 2 13.3 comes with a 13.3-inch (1920 x 1080 pixels) full HD display with 250 nits brightness. It is powered by a slightly higher level of processor 2.1 GHz Samsung Exynos 5 Octa coupled with 4GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM. Connectivity options remain the same with inclusion of WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, 1 x USB 3.0 Port, 1 x USB 2.0 port , Bluetooth and HDMI port. Also the same front-facing 720p webcam can be found in the device. This one measures 16.5 mm thick and weighs 1.4kg and comes with a same 16GB Solid State Drive with MicroSD Card Reader. However, it has a higher battery back up capacity which offers up to 8.5 hours of back up to the Chromebook.
The company is yet to announced the device in Asian market and we will let you know as soon as we receive any information about its India release. Until then stay tuned!
