Samsung Chromebook 2 With Faux-Leather Finish Coming Soon

It looks like South Korea-based ace smartphone maker Samsung will make the faux-leather an integral part of all its upcoming products. Since the first incorporation of the same in the Galaxy Note 3 smartphone last year, the company has been coming up with similar back panel and now the same leather finish is likely to feature in the company's upcoming Chromebook device.

The news come from the Twitter user @evleaks who has posted two images of the upcoming Chromebook. The first image that was posted a bit earlier, however, didn't show much of a device but a faux-leather finishing at the back side, which was quite evident. But soon the leakster again posted another image, which in fact confirmed the product as a Chromebook with a leather finish. Sadly, there are not much information pertaining to the specs of the device.

Samsung's upcoming Chromebook 2 was also spotted on B&H Photo Video website but the image is now removed but thanks to the guys at the OMGChrome who had all the necessary details noted before it was taken out. Thus as per the listings, Samsung Chromebook 2 will be released in two screen-sizes - 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch. The 11.6-inch model will come with Exynos 5 SoC, 4GB of RAM and 16GB of SSD, the 13.3-inch is only known to pack 4GB of RAM. Other details are a mystery at this point. These Chromebooks will be priced $299 and above.

But it should be noted that the company already has one Chromebook available in the market, thus this will probably be the upgraded one. Even more likely it might be called as the Chromebook 2.
