It was only in the second week of June 2014, when Samsung Electronics announced the Galaxy Tab S, Samsung's thinnest and lightest tablet to date at the New York event. Looks like the South Korean tech titan is all set to unleash the new range in India next week.
This can be said, as GizBot has just received an invite from the company for a July 1st, 2014 event in New Delhi. The latest tablet series include two Super AMOLED display equipped tabs namely, Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 and Galaxy Tab S 8.4. As claimed by the company, the tablets combines the most advanced display technology with a full range of premium content for an unrivaled entertainment experience. The Galaxy Tab S is also powered with enhanced productivity features for effortless multitasking, all elegantly housed in a highly stylish, yet practical design.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 - Highlighted Specifications
Talking about the configurations of the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, the new tablet features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The tablet will come two different processors: a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and an Octa-Core Exynos (A15 1.9 GHz ＋ A7 1.3 GHz) CPU. The slate will offer 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of on-board memory, which can be later expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.
The Tab S 10.5 runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. On the camera front, you'll get to see an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED Flash, and a 2-megapoixel front-facing shooter. The connectivity options on the tablet include a Wi-Fi, 4G LTE/3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi Direct, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, among others. The makers have added a respectable 7,900mAh battery fitted inside. The tablet is thin and sleek (6.6mm) and weighs in at 294g (Wifi) / 298g(LTE).

The other start product of the show was the Galaxy Tab S 8.4. As speculated, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has an 8.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The makers have added a 4900mAh battery fitted inside. The rest of the specifications of the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 are identical to its older brother i.e. the Galaxy Tab S 10.5.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S will come in Titanium Bronze or Dazzling White colors. Alongside the launch of Galaxy Tab S, Samsung announced matching accessories for the newly announced tablet range. The company will sell Book Cover, Simple Cover, Bluetooth Keyboard and a unique range of Samsung audio products.
