Japanese giant Sony is expected to launch a new tablet device alongside a waterproof smartwatch at IFA 2014 in Berlin. But a week before the anticipated launch, both upcoming devices have been allegedly leaked by the PlayStation 4 maker.

 

In fact, just last week we told you about the arrival of the Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact - an 8-inch Android-powered tablet, at this year's IFA 2014. Meanwhile, an alleged live promo picture of the tablet accompanied by Sony's upcoming smartwatch, dubbed as SmartWatch 3 made a quick appearance over the weekend, proving a hint in advance.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact, SmartWatch 3 Revealed in Leaked Live

The photo reportedly appeared on Sony's Facebook's page. Since the photo is captured by a swimming pool, one can assume that both anticipated gadgets will have water resistance features. With all the leaks, it may feel like there's nothing to learn more about the Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact, at least. The intelligent watch, however, is still a mystery amongst fans.

Well, the tablet should run on Google's Android operating system (OS), as per the leaked promo picture. As far as the Sony-made watch is concerned, it appears to be running on the Android Wear. Of course, we can't be 100% sure that what we're seeing in the UI. But we're hoping to discover more details soon.

Sony Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact - What to expect?

The Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact has been rumored since past last week. The upcoming tablet would be first from Sony to feature an 8-inch display. Touted to be a waterproof tablet, we can expect the device to rival the upcoming Google Nexus 8 slate. There's no leaked information on the Sony Xperia Tablet Z3 Compact yet.

Sony SmartWatch 3 - What to expect?

According to Digi-wo, Sony is preparing to announce the third iteration of their SmartWatch lineup. Dubbed as SmartWatch 3, the device is expected to use Sony's custom-built platform based on Android, instead of Android Wear. As usual, the watch will be water proof and dust resistant, though one should expect something new this time around.
