Another Jelly Bean tablet launch has scorched the Indian market flooded with budget conscious consumer base. Swipe Telecom, a California based tech firm has announced the launch of Halo Value - a dual SIM Jelly Bean based tablet in India.
The Halo series of tablet already exists in the market with a range of devices including Halo Tab X 74S, Halo Edge and Halo 3G. However, the new one is a 2G tablet with an astounding price tag of Rs 6,999.

Dimensions & Weight: Swipe Halo Value measures 197 x 124 x 10.9 mm and weighs in at 335 grams.
Display: Halo Value features a 7 inch 5 point multi-touch capacitive tuchscreen display of unknown resolution, however, it is speculated to boast a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
Processor: The tablet is powered by a 1.5GHz processor with powerful graphic performance for games and other complex applications.
Operating System: Halo Value runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and hence, it will come with features such as Project Butter, improved Google Now, live wallpaper support, high resolution contact photos and more.
Camera: Similar to other budget tablet offerings, Halo Value comes with a 2MP rear camera and a 0.3MP front camera for video calling.
Storage: Halo Value packs a 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage.
Connectivity: The tablet comes with connectivity features including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and micro USB, however, it lacks 3G support.
Battery: Halo Value is loaded with a massive 3,400 mAh battery.
Swipe Halo Value comes preloaded with Face Unlock feature allowing consumers to unlock their tablet using Facial Recognition. Further, the tablet also comes with other features including Panoramic Shots, which can capture multiple shots in rapid succession.
Also, the tablet is preloaded with applications including Flash Support 11.1, Olive Office Premium, Ebook Reader and more.

Swipe Halo Value is priced at Rs 6,999 and will be made available across all the leading e-commerce sites in the country.
By launching a low cost Android Jelly Bean tablet with dual SIM support, Swipe has entered a direct fight with the other voice calling tablets. Several companies have already launched voice calling tablets in India, however, on Monday, Pantel Technologies launched its Jelly Bean tablet.
Hence, Gizbot has come up with a list of three SIM supporting tablets that have been launched recently into the Indian market.
Pantel Penta T-Pad WS708C
Penta T-Pad WS708C packs a 7 inch mutli-touch capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels and 3D support, 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean OS, 4GB internal storage, 512MB RAM, micro SD card slot, 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, HDMI port, mini USB port and a 3,000 mAh battery.
Priced at Rs 6,999, the Pantel offering comes with more features including 3D support, however, Halo Value has a better processor and enhanced backup.
Micromax Funbook P362
Funbook P362 features 7 inch capactive touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, 1.2GHz Cortex A9 processor, Mali 400 GPU, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card slot, 2G voice calling, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G via dongle, 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera and a 3,000 mAh battery with over 3 hours of Wi-Fi usage.
The price of the voice calling Micromax tablet is still not announced by the company, however, it is not expected to be too expensive. Moreover, it comes with 3G support, which is lacking in Swipe. At the same time, the Swipe offering comes with dual SIM and enhanced security features with Face Unlock.
HCL Me Y3
Recently, HCL also launched a dual SIM tablet - Me Y3 in India at Rs 11,999. Specwise, Me Y3 packs a 7 inch capacitive multi-touchscreen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, micro SD card supporting up to 32GB, 2MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich platform, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3,100 mAh battery.
Priced relatively lesser than the HCL offering and running on Jelly Bean OS, Swipe Halo Value might be a better offering.
