Swipe MTV Slash: Voice Calling 3G Tablet Launched Online at Rs 9,490

    Swipe MTV Slash, a new 7-inch device in Swipe's tablet series is now available on online retailer Snapdeal at Rs. 9,490. A few weeks back, the US based firm, Swipe Telecom had announced MTV Volt 1000 at Rs 11,999.

    It seems the partnership between MTV and Swipe seems to have worked well, thus, the two companies have already announced that they will collaborate in future to announce more capable devices.

    Talking about the specs, the Swipe MTV Slash sports a 7-inch Ultra Slim HD capacitive touchscreen display that offers a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels.

    The tablet is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor and runs on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The latest Swipe MTV Slash is also supported by 1GB DDRlll RAM. It has a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 0.3-megapixel (VGA) front-facing camera for video call.

    Connectivity options include, the dual SIM support with dual standby and comes with 3G support, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It comes pre-loaded with apps like Kingsoft Office, EBook Reader and has Audio Recording feature.

    Measuring 188.4x108x9 mm in dimension and weighing 290 grams the latest tablet houses 4GB internal storage capacity that can be expanded up to 32GB using a micro SD card.

    Besides all these specifications, the calling tablet is equipped with a 3,000 mAh battery.

    Moreover, the tablet is likely to compete with other tablets in the market like Milagrow MGPT09, iBall Performance Series, HCL ME Connect, BSNL Penta WS707C Tablet, Micromax Funbook Talk P362 Tablet and Salora Fontab Tablet. All the devices belong to the same price range and has a similar 1GB RAM and comes with more than 7 inch display.
