The International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014 started with a big bang as most of the top companies launched and unveiled their latest products in day one.
The year 2014 seems to be more inclined to the wearable devices as the world got to see more of wearable devices at the event. However, smartphones, tablets, hybrid PCs, television and even gaming consoles came under the spotlight at the world's most attractive technology showcasing event.
The CES 2014 also saw the upcoming modular smartphone prototype from the China based smartphone maker ZTE while the Bendable TVs from both Samsung and LG also came into highlight. In fact, talking about TVs, this year might also turn out to be a year of 4K display. While chip-makers like Qualcomm and MediaTek also took an active part in announcing their latest SoCs for smartphones.
Since, the tablet business is already taking over the laptop markets around the world, today GiZbot has come up with a number of best tablets that got announced at the very CES 2014 event.
The South Korean smartphone manufacturer announced 4 tablets which was no surprise to many. While Xolo Win a 10.1-inch Windows 8 powered tablet featuring the AMD chipset was also announced. Even India based Micromax came up with a LapTab which is Intel powered first dual-boot Windows and Android tablet.

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro
The latest Galaxy Note PRO 12.2-inch device comes with a 12.2-inch (2560×1600 pixels) WQXGA display and is 7.9mm thick and weighs 750g. The device also comes with S-Pen Stylus. The WiFi and 3G variants of the device is powered by Samsung's very own Exynos 5 Octa (1.9GHz x 4 + 1.3GHz x 4) while the LTE variant of the tablet is powered by 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with a 3GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat OS. Similar to the smaller tablets, it features 8MP rear camera with LED flash with 2MP front-facing camera. The storage capacity is bit higher with 32GB/64GB internal storage and can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include LTE / 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac MIMO (2.4 & 5 GHz), Wi-Fi Direct, AllShareCast, BT4.0, USB3.0, GPS ＋ GLONASS. The device draws its energy from a massive 9500mAh battery.
Lenovo ThinkPad 8
The Lenovo ThinkPad 8 boasts a sharp 8.3-inch, 1920 x 1200-pixel screen and a sleek aluminum design. It is powered by Intel Z3770 Quad-Core 2.4Ghz (Bay Trail Quad Core) chip coupled with 2GB LPDDR3 RAM. You will find a high-res 8-MP camera that works in tandem with an optional QuickShot cover that opens the camera app as you uncover the lens. There is also a front facing 2 MP (HD1080p) shooter. It comes with a storage capacity of up to 128 GB. It also features a MicroSIM (WWAN only) slot. Connectivity Option include 4G LTE/3G or WiFi. The battery is claimed to provide a user up to 8 hours (20.5Whr) usage.
Acer Iconia A1-830
The Iconia A1-830 incorporates a 7.9-inch display having a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels. It is powered by a 1.6GHz Intel processor, backed by 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal processor (expandable via a microSD card slot).Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. Panasonic Toughpad 4K Tablet
The device is loaded with such specs, that seriously makes it for professionals. It features a 20 inch IPS alpha LCD display with 4K resolution (3840 x 2560pixels) and LED backlighting.
