Priced at Rs 6,499, the 7 inch Wammy Desire packs impressive specifications and comes preloaded with several games. Wammy Desire houses a 7 inch capacitive 5 point touchscreen display with 800 x 480 pixel resolution, powered by a 1.5GHz dual core ARM Cortex A9 processor and 400 Mali Core GPU and based on the latest incarnation of the Google's OS - Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The tablet sports a 0.3MP VGA front camera, 8GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable memory support. In terms of connectivity, Wammy Note is packed with features including Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 3G through dongle and is loaded with a 3,000 mAh Li-ion battery offering up to 6 hours backup. Other Features of the tablet include preloaded Adobe Flash 11.x, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, PDF documents and 3D games including Hero Of Sparta, Nova, Gun Bros, Spiderman and more. Recently, Karbonn launched the Cosmic Smart Tab10 tablet officially in India with a price tag of Rs 10,490. This a giant step taken by Karbonn, who has upgraded their first tablet - Smart Tab 1 with Jelly Bean in June this year. As far as specs are concerned, Smart Tab 10 Cosmic features 9.7 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 1024 x 768 pixel resolution, 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1GB RAM, micro SD card slot for additional storage support up to 32GB, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, 2MP rear camera, VGA front camera for video calling, Wi-Fi, USB port, HDMI port, 3G via dongle and 6,000 mAh battery of undisclosed backup. Smart Tab 10 Cosmic is the first 10 inch Jelly Bean offering from the India based manufacturer. Another low cost Android ICS tablet to debut in the tablet market during 2012 was from Swipe telecom. Swipe 3D Life Tab X74. Life Tab X 74 tablet, priced at Rs 5,999, is not much of different from others in the market however, it is positioned as India's first 3D Tab with 3D Goggles. Further, the tablet has a 7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800x480. The device is powered by Allwinner A13 Cortex A8 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz-1.5GHz and also has the Mali-400 GPU along with 512MB of RAM. The device has 4GB internal storage expandable upto 16GB via a microSD card. The device also has a rear facing 2MP camera. A 3,400 mAh battery powers the device. The device has a primary focus of 3D gaming and videos, with its colour separation (red-cyan) stereoscopic display. It will ship with one pair of 3D glasses. In August 2012, Mercury launched mTab Rio running on the Android 4.0 ICS operating system. The tablet was launched sporting a 9.7 inch screen with the IPS technology at Rs 11,999. Further, the Android tablet has a 1.2 GHz processor and a 1 GB DDR3 RAM. It supports Wi-Fi and offers a decent battery backup of 6 to 8 hours of continuous usage. The tablet comes in two options - 8 GB and 16 GB. In both the cases, the memory can be expanded to 32 GB with the micro SD card slot. The mTab Rio has a 2 MP camera at the rear and a 0.3 MP camera front facing camera for video calling.
