Apple's iPad sales are down to 12.3 million units this quarter compared to 16.4 million a year ago, according to the company's latest earnings report. It's fair to say that people are not buying tablets, and if this trend continues further, then the folks over at Apple definitely need to pull up their socks.
Apparently they have already found a possible solution to bump up slowing iPad sales: iPad Pro. The Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is readying itself to launch the next-generation iPad - widely believe to be called the iPad Pro.

It's generally believed that the iPad Pro will mark an aesthetic departure from the iPad Air 2. This does seem likely, given the warm reception that Apple's iPad Air 2 has received from the mass audience.
An alleged industrial rendering of Apple's much-awaited "iPad Pro" was leaked on Friday, confirming rumors that the slate will use a massive 12.9-inch screen instead of a claimed 12.2-inch variant.
The leaked rendering -first spotted by Nowhereelse.fr,- indicates dimensions of 305.7 by 222.6 by 7.2 millimeters, or 12 by 8.7 by 0.28 inches, notes Apple Insider. That's enough to prove that the upcoming iPad Pro could come with a 12.9-inch display, measures diagonally.
The leaked picture also supports impending rumors that the forthcoming tablet will have four speaker ports. Earlier reports had claimed that the iPad Pro might support USB-C connectivity. As of now, the 12-inch MacBook is the only Apple-made device to support USB-C.
So far, the specs sheet for Apple's iPad Pro remains unknown. Meanwhile, some rumors claim the crazy beast might feature an A8X processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4K screen, and a working stylus.
Going off previous launches, it's likely the new tablet will go on general sale later in October, just before the holiday season.
