Videocon forays in tablet segment with VT10: Will it outsmart Karbonn Smart Tab 10?
It was just yesterday, when Videocon unleashed its Android powered dual-SIM smartphones A20 and A30 and today, the India based manufacturer has launched a 10-inch tablet - VT10. Priced at Rs.11, 200, the newly launched tablet is now on sale boasting smart looks and performance with a multi-touch IPS display and 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Processor.
Further, VT10 is 10.3mm thick and has a weight of about 650g accompanied with features including 1 GB RAM, 2 Mega-pixel front camera, 2 Mega-pixel rear camera and a 6800mAh battery. It has an internal memory of 8GB and an expandable memory up to 32 GB with micro SD.
The device runs on Android 4.1 and has Wi-Fi connectivity and 3G dongle support. In addition, the tablet also features some pre-loaded apps including Saavn, Nimbuzz, NexGtv, Facebook and more. It also has USB and HDMI ports.
Prospective buyers can now shop at Snapdeal.com and Homeshop18.com and avail the tablet at a price of Rs.11, 200.
This new tablet from Videocon is sure to pose as competition to the recently launched Karbonn Smart Tab 10, a 9.7-inch tablet which also comes with a 1.5 GHz dual core processor powered by Android Jelly Bean.
The company has made a sharp re-entry with good smartphones and a tablet after its absence from both the smartphone and tablet market for two years. The newly launched devices of Videocon seem to give good value-for-money. Hopes are now high for the company with expectations of the buyers reaching new levels awaiting similar products in the following years.
