Zen UltraTab A700 3G Launched With Android ICS and SIM Slot at Rs 9,499

    Following the launch of UltraTab A800, Zen Mobiles has come up with another tablet - UltraTab A700 3G at Rs 9,499. Zen Mobile has tied up with HomeShop18, a popular online retailer site in order to distribute the tablet

    Commenting at the launch event, Deepesh Gupta, managing director, Zen Mobile, said, "Zen Mobile is expanding its tablet portfolio with the launch of Zen UltraTab A700 3G. The idea is to offer customers choice. We have products across categories and price points and that will help us grow our position further in the Indian market."

    Display: UltraTab A700 3G sports a 7 inch 5 point multi-touch capacitive touchscreen display.

    Processor & Storage: The tablets is equipped with 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable storage.

    OS: Being a budget tablet, the Zen offering comes flavored with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS.

    Camera: The tablet has a 1.3MP front camera for video calling, but lacks a rear camera of better resolution.

    Connectivity: In terms of data connectivity, UltraTab A700 3G has Wi-Fi, 3G via dongle and SIM support, voice calling and Bluetooth.

    Battery: The tablet is loaded with a 3,000 mAh battery of undisclosed backup.

    As mentioned above, Zen has launched the 3G tablet at Rs 9,499 and it can be purchased from HomeShop18.

    Potential Rivals

    With Android 4.0 ICS platform, sub Rs 10,000 price tag and 3G voice calling feature, Zen UltraTab A700 will compete with the other tablets that support voice calling feature including Micromax Funbook Talk, EAFT D70P, iBall Slide 3G 7334 and more that are also priced similarly.
