Today, Samsung has announced a new entry-level tablet dubbed Galaxy Tab J in order to make it an extension to the smartphone of a user. Similar to the Galaxy J lineup of smartphones, this tablet will also be an affordable offering.
It is clear from the letter J in its name as we are well aware of the Galaxy J smartphones, their specs and market position as well.
As of now, Samsung has revealed the pricing and availability details of this tablet only in Taiwan. The Galaxy Tab J will be priced around 5990 TWD (approx. Rs 12,500). The device will be available in Gold and White color options.

Design and Display
The Galaxy Tab J sports a 7-inch PLS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels that will be suitable for multimedia usage. This display has a standard pixel density of 216 ppi. It measures 8.7 mm in thickness and weighs in at 289 grams.
Processor and Storage
The Samsung tab is energized by a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor of unspecified chipset. This processor is teamed up with 1.5 GB of RAM and a meager 8 GB of native memory capacity that can be expanded with a micro SD card.
If you like to click photos using a tab, the Galaxy Tab J will let you do it with an 8 MP main snapper at its back with an aperture of f/1.9. Also, there is a 2 MP front-facer to click selfies.
Connectivity and Battery
The Galaxy Tab J is packed with connectivity aspects such as Bluetooth 4.0, W-Fi, and 4G LTE. Also, it is energized by a 4,000 mAh battery that will pump in enough juice for it to last for 9 hours of continuous usage.
The Galaxy Tab J runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS topped with the latest iteration of the TouchWiz UI. The tab is pre-loaded with features such as S Bike and Kids Mode besides the rest.
