Apple Expected to Unveil New iPad Mini Models by the End of 2024 at the Earliest: Report

At the recent 'Let Loose' event, Apple introduced new additions to the iPad family, showcasing the new iPad Pro OLED and iPad Air M2 models. A noticeable absentee at the event was an update to the iPad Mini, which last saw a new version in late 2021.

However, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple fans might see a new iPad Mini by the end of this year. Gurman, renowned for his insights into Apple's plans, suggests the forthcoming iPad Mini will feature a faster processor but may not boast significant upgrades from its predecessor.

Apple iPad Mini 7th Gen: What to Expect?

The latest variant of the iPad Mini launched in September 2021 and is equipped with an A15 Bionic chip. The base 6th Gen iPad Mini Wi-Fi variant is priced at 48,399 on Amazon India.

According to the rumors, the next generation iPad Mini is will use the A16 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13 Pro, a slightly larger display, and promising enhancements over the 2021 model.

Apple Pencil Pro, Updated Magic Keyboard

Alongside the new iPads, Apple also unveiled the Apple Pencil Pro and an updated Magic Keyboard. The Apple Pencil Pro introduces 'Find My' support and new gesture controls, marking a significant update from previous iterations.

These accessories complement the latest iPad models, which include the iPad Air with 10.9-inch and 13-inch Liquid Retina displays and the iPad Pro, available in 11-inch and 13-inch options featuring a 'Tandem OLED' screen. The iPad Pro is powered by Apple's M4 chip and offers up to 2TB of storage, running on the new iPadOS 17.

Price points for the new devices have also been revealed, with the iPad Pro (2024) starting at Rs 99,900 for the 11-inch model and the iPad Air (2024) beginning at Rs 59,900 for its base variant. Additionally, the Apple Pencil Pro is priced at Rs 11,900, and the new Magic Keyboard starts at Rs 29,900.

Apple's AI Integration

These developments come amid reports of Apple nearing a deal with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT into the iPhone, hinting at further innovations and integrations. We can expect these major AI announcements to become official at WWDC 2024 in June.
