ASUS Pad Launched in India with 144Hz OLED Display, MediaTek Dimensity 8300, 9,000mAh Battery, Android 16

ASUS has launched its latest premium Android tablet, the ASUS Pad, in India. Positioned in the upper mid-range segment, the tablet combines a 12.2-inch 2.8K dual-layer OLED display, a 144Hz refresh rate, the MediaTek D8300 chipset, and a 9,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging.

Designed for both productivity and entertainment, the ASUS Pad also supports the ASUS Pen 2.0, includes a bundled folio case, and ships with Android 16. With its slim and lightweight design, immersive Dolby Atmos speakers, and cross-device productivity tools, ASUS is targeting students, professionals, and content creators looking for a premium tablet experience.

ASUS Pad Price in India and Availability

The ASUS Pad is priced at ₹45,990 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage model costs ₹49,990.

The tablet will go on sale in India from August 6, 2026, via Flipkart, the ASUS eShop, and leading retail stores. ASUS is also offering interest-free EMI options starting at ₹3,833 per month.

ASUS Pad Specifications

The ASUS Pad features a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED display with a 2.8K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and a 3:2 aspect ratio, making it suitable for both media consumption and productivity. The panel reaches up to 2,000 nits peak brightness and carries certifications for low blue light and low flicker, helping reduce eye strain during extended usage.

For audio, ASUS has equipped the tablet with a quad-speaker setup featuring Dolby Atmos 360-degree Cinematic Sound, promising an immersive entertainment experience for movies, games, and music.

Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, clocked at up to 3.35GHz, paired with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. Users can further expand the storage up to 1TB using a microSD card. The device runs Android 16 out of the box.

The ASUS Pad sports a 6.5mm slim profile and weighs 523g, while the fibreglass rear panel is designed to offer a balance between durability and portability. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, and a USB Type-C port with DisplayPort output and fast charging support.

Keeping the tablet running is a 9,000mAh battery with 45W fast charging, which ASUS claims can charge the battery to 50 percent in around 30 minutes. The tablet also comes preloaded with GlideX, allowing seamless file transfers and screen sharing across Windows, Android, and iOS devices.

To enhance productivity, ASUS bundles a protective folio case in the box that supports multiple viewing angles. The tablet is also compatible with the ASUS Pen 2.0, making it suitable for note-taking, sketching, and creative work.
