Honor Pad X8 Tablet With MediaTek Helio G80 SoC Launched in India

Even though the company has withdrawn from India, Honor has launched the Honor Pad X8 in the country, which was launched in China in September last year. The Pad X8 is a budget tablet that is powered by a MediaTek Helio G80 chip fronted by a 10.1-inch FHD display.

The Pad X8, listed on Amazon India is sold as an import by a distributor, but at an attractive price. The tablet is offered in 3GB and 4GB RAM variants and comes with most of the bare necessities.

Honor Pad X8: Specifications and Features

The Honor Pad X8 features a 10.1-inch full HD IPS LCD display with 1920x1080 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 224 ppi. The Pad X8 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80, a bit dated 4G chipset and runs on a 5100mAh battery. The tablet comes in two variants in China- 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, and a 6GB RAM variant also with 128GB storage. In India, it will have a more affordable 3GB RAM variant with 32GB storage, along with a 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage.

On the back, the Honor Pad X8 features a 5MP camera while on the front is a 2MP camera for video calls and selfies. It runs on Android 12-based Magic OS out of the box.

The tablet is built out of aluminum and weighs 460 grams. It measures 7.55mm in thickness and supports USB-C charging, Wi-Fi connectivity and Bluetooth 5.1. There is also a 3.5mm headphone jack. For audio, the Pad X8 features stereo speakers with Honor Listen sound effects.

Honor Pad X8: Price and Availability

The Honor Pad X8 is listed on Amazon. The 3GB RAM variant with 32GB storage is priced at Rs 10,999. The 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage will be available later at Rs 11,999. The Pad X8 will be offered in a single Blue colour variant and will be available for purchase from June 22.
