HP has launched the HP OmniPad 12 in India, introducing a new Android-powered tablet with a detachable keyboard. The device is aimed at students, first-time tablet buyers, small businesses, and professionals looking for a portable productivity device.

Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, the HP OmniPad 12 combines tablet functionality with laptop-style usability through its detachable keyboard.

It can be purchased via the HP Online Store, Amazon, Flipkart, Reliance Digital, Croma, Vijay Sales, and HP World stores. The tablet comes with a one-year limited warranty covering parts and labour.

As part of the introductory offers, HP is providing ₹5,000 cashback on select bank credit cards. Buyers will also receive a one-year subscription to an AI services bundle that includes access to GPT-5, Claude 4, Gemini 2.5, Perplexity, Grok 4, and DeepSeek, according to the company.

The tablet is equipped with 8GB LPDDR5 RAM, UFS storage, and supports microSD card expansion up to 1TB. It runs Android and ships with several pre-installed educational applications, including iPrep, Lexillion, and Brands.live. HP claims the tablet delivers up to 18 hours of battery life on a single charge.

Weighing approximately 600g in tablet mode, the OmniPad 12 is designed for portability and includes a detachable keyboard for users who require a laptop-style typing experience.
