IQOO Pad Ultra Launched with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, 165Hz OLED Display, 9020mAh Battery

iQOO has added a compact flagship tablet to its portfolio with the launch of the iQOO Pad Ultra, a gaming-focused device built around a high-refresh OLED display, active cooling and top-tier Qualcomm silicon. The tablet arrives alongside the iQOO 16 and is aimed at users who want a smaller screen size without giving up performance-heavy features.

The iQOO Pad Ultra comes in Starry Silver and Ender Black colour options. Its biggest differentiator is the 8.8-inch form factor, which places it closer to handheld gaming tablets than larger productivity-focused models. At 5.74mm at its thinnest point and 298g, the device is positioned as a portable option for gaming, streaming and light work.

iQOO Pad Ultra Display and Design

The tablet features an 8.8-inch 2.3K OLED display with a 1440×2304 pixel resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. iQOO claims a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits and a response time of less than 1ms. The company has also used narrow bezels, giving the tablet a 93.3 percent screen-to-body ratio.

On the back, the iQOO Pad Ultra includes a camera module with customizable RGB lighting. The lighting system supports six visual effects, underlining the tablet’s gaming-first identity. For biometrics, the tablet uses a fingerprint sensor integrated into the power button, a practical choice for a compact device.

Performance, Cooling and Gaming Features

The iQOO Pad Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 platform, paired with an Adreno 850 GPU and a Q4 gaming chip. It is offered with 12GB or 16GB LPDDRX RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. The tablet runs Android 17 with OriginOS 7 HD on top.

Thermal management is a major part of the pitch. iQOO has equipped the device with its Ice Dome Five-Fold Air Cooling System. This includes a 30×30×3.5mm active cooling fan rated for up to 0.94 CFM airflow, three-dimensional air inlets on the front and side frames, and three-stage intelligent airflow adjustment.

The company is also targeting serious mobile gamers with dual X-axis linear motors for 4D tactile vibration. iQOO says the feature is natively compatible with 15 mainstream game titles. The tablet also supports optimisations for Tencent STAR cloud gaming and can work with clip-on stretchable gamepads.

Another notable feature is built-in PC emulator support. According to iQOO, users can log in to their Steam accounts and run AAA titles locally. Actual performance will depend on game compatibility, storage, thermals and emulator optimisation, but the feature gives the tablet a broader gaming use case than standard Android titles.

The iQOO Pad Ultra packs a 9,020mAh Blue Ocean battery with 66W fast charging. For imaging, it includes a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4 and USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 2. The tablet also has dual speakers.

OriginOS 7 HD adds tablet-focused tools such as Atomic Workbench, customisable flash card UI themes, Storage Compression 2.0 and cross-device connectivity with compatible ecosystem products. iQOO claims the storage compression feature can deliver data compression rates of up to 30 percent.
