Lava X80 Tablet with 3G connectivity launched: 7 Specs and features
Domestic smartphone company, Lava has come up with a new tablet, dubbed as X80 for a price of Rs 9,999. The 8-inch tablet is based on Android OS and is meant for those consumers who look for a big screen device for data consumption, entertainment, and communication.
The Lava X80 has been touted as a device for the next generation experience! However, at a price of Rs 9,999, we feel that it does not bring the best of features on board, specially considering its competitors' offerings in this space. Here we take a look at its specs and features.
Xiaomi MIUI 8 Global Beta ROM released: Steps to install it
A big screen:
The Lava X80 has an 8-inch IPS display packing in a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. A big display is good for playing games, watching videos and movies, writing mails, reading and more.

Processing power:
Speaking of the hardware, the tablet is powered by a 1.83 GHz quad-core processor with integrated Intel Atom Baytrail to take care of processing. The chipset is paired with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB.

Camera specs:
For photography, the tablet features a 5MP auto-focus primary snapper that is paired with a 3.2MP front-facing camera that can be used for selfies, video chats and more.
Software version:
While most of the new generation devices are shipped with Android Marshmallow OS, sadly Lava's new tablet runs Kitkat, which is an outdated version of the software.

3G connectivity:
The device also offers 3G connectivity with GSM 900/1800 MHz and 2100 Mbps HSPA support for browsing and data services. The company says that Lava X80 device can also be used for calling using the earphones.
Battery:
The Tablet is powered by 4200mAh battery, which doesn't seem impressive to us considering that now there are smartphones like Asus Zenfone Max that offer bigger batteries than the tablet.
Availability:
As far as the availability is concerned, the Lava X80 is available across all the national retail stores and multi-brand outlets in India.
