New Pixel Tablet Leak Reveals 8GB RAM, Four Color Options, and a Charging Dock

Google's Pixel tablet was first shown out at the company's annual I/O event in 2022. Since then, little has been said about the upcoming tablet other than the fact that it would be released in 2023. We're already into the year, and new leaks about the device are surfacing, including key details on the device's core specs as well as a dock that converts the tablet into a smart display.

9to5Google, a trusted source, has leaked new details about the Pixel Tablet. The tablet is said to be powered by a Tensor G2 SoC with 8GB RAM and pre-installed with Android 13. It will be available in two storage options, but no further information has been provided. Previous reports suggested that the tablet would have storage options of 128GB and 256GB.

Google had already announced two color options for the tablet: green and beige/white. The green model features black bezels, while the beige/white model has white bezels. The source reports two additional color options, but it is unknown what those colors are. The Pixel Tablet's aluminum body will feature a nano-ceramic finish that resembles porcelain, according to the source.

Pixel Tablet Will Come With A Charging Speaker Dock

Furthermore, we get to see the charging speaker dock which will apparently come with the Pixel Tablet as it'll not only charge the tablet via the pogo pins on the back of the device but can also convert the tablet into a smart display. The dock will receive power through a barrel jack, and as such a charging brick won't be included in the box.

The source also states that the physical switch of the tablet will be used for disabling the microphone and camera. If this pans out, it'll be a huge plus for consumers concerned about privacy. Finally, Google will sell an official case for the Pixel Tablet.
