Oppo Pad 2 Arrives on SIRIM Site, Global Launch Expected Soon

The Oppo Pad 2 will make its debut globally, going by its recent appearance on the SIRIM (Standards and Industrial Research Institute of Malaysia) database. To recall, the brand's flagship tablet was first launched in China last month.

According to The Tech Outlook report, the global version of the Oppo Pad 2 comes with the model number OPD2202. Unfortunately, the database listing doesn't reveal any more specs about the global variant. We can expect it to be similar to the Chinese version, save for the processor.

Oppo Pad 2: Expected Specifications

The Oppo Pad 2 will likely feature an 11.61-inch IPS LCD panel with a resolution of 2,800 x 2,000 pixels. The display could support a refresh rate of 144Hz, Dolby Vision, aspect ratio of 7:5, and 500 nits of peak brightness. It will also support 10-bit colors and 88% screen-to-body ratio.

The tablet will feature a 13MP camera at the rear, which is capable of recording 4K videos at 30fps. At the front, there's an 8MP camera for selfies. It can record 1080p videos at 30fps. As for the software, the Pad 2 will reportedly boot Android 13-based ColorOS 13 out of the box.

While the Chinese model is equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, based on the 4nm process, we can expect the global version to feature a different SoC. It is said to be accompanied by up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

Oppo Pad 2: Features

The Oppo Pad 2 will be powered by a massive 9,510mAh battery with support for 67W SuperVOOC fast charging. Connectivity options will include Wi-Fi 6, a USB Type-C port, GPS, and Bluetooth 5.3. When it comes to the audio, the tablet comes with quad speakers and Dolby Atmos support.

The Oppo Pad 2 is compatible with the brand's new smart touch keyboard and the Oppo Pencil 2 stylus. The stylus can detect up to 4096 pressure levels and features a low latency of 2ms.
