Oppo Pad 2 Geekbench Listing Reveals Key Specifications Of Premium Android Tablet With SD888 SoC
The first generation of the Oppo Pad, with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset, arrived last year. Its successor, the Oppo Pad 2, has now surfaced on Geekbench. The listing on the benchmarking database confirms that Oppo will offer a premium and powerful Android tablet this year too.
Oppo is yet to officially acknowledge the presence of the Oppo Pad 2 in the pipeline. However, rumors and leaks about the Android tablet have been making the rounds for the past few months. Let's look at the latest details of the Oppo Pad 2.

Oppo Pad 2 Specifications, Features
Oppo Pad 2, the company's large-screen Android tablet, has appeared on Geekbench. Incidentally, the smartphone is mentioned on both editions of the popular benchmarking website, Geekbench 5 and Geekbench 6, with the model number OPD2201.
The listings on Geekbench indicate the Oppo Pad 2 will feature Qualcomm's octa-core chipset with a peak clock speed of 2.84GHz. This specification suggests that the Android tablet packs the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The tablet has 7.34 GB or 8GB of RAM.
With the Snapdragon 888 chipset, the Oppo Pad 2 scored 1,160 points in the single-core test and 3,186 in the multi-core test on Geekbench 6. In the Geekbench 5 tests, the tablet scored 899 in single-core and 3079 in multi-core tests. These scores are impressive, but they don't beat the scores of the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or even the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipsets.
The Geekbench listing further confirms that the Oppo Pad 2 will run on Android 13 OS. However, Oppo is likely to apply its own ColorOS 13 custom skin. The tablet will likely ship with 8GB RAM and support Bluetooth v5.3.
Oppo Pad 2 Launch, Availability In India
Oppo launched the first generation of the Oppo Pad in India last year. The premium tablet features an 11-inch IPS LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, with up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The tablet packs an 8,360mAh battery that supports 33W fast charging.
The Oppo Pad 2 may come with a similar IPS LCD screen and avoid an AMOLED display, presumably to keep costs down. However, the upcoming tablet will most likely have an upgraded chipset.
The Oppo Pad Air launched in July last year. It sells for less than ₹20,000. The Oppo Pad 2 could launch this quarter and will likely sport a higher price, presumably close to ₹35,000.
