OPPO Pad 3 Specifications Leak, Might Debut as OnePlus Pad 2 in India

Leaked specifications suggest Oppo is gearing up to launch the Pad 3, a potential successor to the Oppo Pad 2 released in March 2023. While there's no official confirmation yet, details emerging from the reliable source Digital Chat Station on Weibo paint a picture of a high-end Android tablet.

Upgraded Display and Performance

The Oppo Pad 3 is rumored to boast a larger 12.1-inch display compared to its predecessor. The resolution is expected to jump to 3K (3000 x 2120 pixels) for sharper visuals, and the refresh rate might hit a smooth 144Hz. Peak brightness is also said to be significantly improved at 900 nits.

OPPO Pad 3 Specs Leak, Could Debut as OnePlus Pad 2 in India

Under the hood, the Pad 3 is tipped to pack the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, promising powerful performance for demanding tasks and multitasking. This chipset could be paired with up to a whopping 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, offering ample headroom for apps, games, and media.

Long-lasting Battery and Familiar Design

Endurance is another potential highlight, with leaks suggesting a massive 9,510mAh battery. This should translate to long hours of use on a single charge. The tablet is also expected to support 67W fast charging for quicker power delivery.

Design-wise, the Oppo Pad 3 might retain the all-metal construction of its predecessor. The leak hints at "fingerprint-free unlocking," which likely implies some form of facial recognition security.

Camera and Accessories

While tablets aren't typically known for their cameras, the Oppo Pad 3 is said to sport a 13-megapixel rear sensor and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for basic video calls and photos. The leak also suggests compatibility with the Oppo Pencil 2 stylus, potentially featuring a similar linear vibration motor found in Apple's latest Pencil Pro.

Global Availability a Possibility

The Oppo Pad 2 saw a limited release in some markets. The Pad 3, however, might see a wider launch, potentially arriving as the OnePlus Pad 2 in some regions. This speculation stems from the similar positioning of the original OnePlus Pad, which was essentially a rebranded Oppo Pad 2.
